Kita response 14-16 question 2

After the book reaches its climax with the death of Katies sister Lynn, Katie begins a new way of life. For the memory of her sister she makes her an altar and thinks about what Lynn would have liked her to do know if she would habe been alive. Her sisters wishes for her had been: work hard, go to collage. So now with the full reality of how much she had lost she tries to get A's and good grades in school, because there might be the small and if so faint possibility that Lynn was watching her and Katie wanted to make her happy.

Kira blog response question number 1

As Lynn gets more and more sick, her demands also go up. Lynns and Katies relationship is greatly affected by this. Katie gets more and more desperate the more Lynn grows sick, and she gets angry and frustrated that Lynn will not recover . She (also she is not (probably)aware of this) would like Lynn to be better again and wishes for the old times to return. The peak of this anger is finally when Lynn wakes Katie in the middle of the night (Katie is mildly annoyed) and demands a glass of water. After Katie gets her one, Lynn demands milk (Katie is annoyed even more) and than throws the glass on the floor rug and shatters the glass(Katie gets even more annoed because she will have to clean the rug and buy a new glass). After getting Lynn a glass of Milk ,Lynn throws this to the prier glass on the floor because "There is soap on the glass".Katie is now ready to burst. Lynn topps it by now demanding a glass of water (again). Katie denies her anything now and tells Lynn she hates her. After this incident Katie becomes aware of herself again and is nice to Lynn however now (could this be related???) Lynns health decreases day by day.

Fact about the Masai

The Masai , a nomadic tribe from Africa has many different and interesting costumes and traditions. One of the most important facts is that they are loosing the habitat they live in. Tanzania and Kenia are being colonised and since they are a nomadic tribe they need to move around to keep there animals alive (water and food are not everywhere). However this is becoming more and more dffucult for them and the ways and customes of them are under threat. Some Masai have already given up and joined the city life.

The Tenagers

I thing that the teenagers have changed during the course of adolescents. This is ,I think because uner different circumstances. Toay most hings seem easier but is it really? The changes you go through might still be the same , however now you have telephones, email etc. This greatly affects growing up. Teenagers now are more demanding and stubborn, becausre there is mor eto get and also they are more lazy for life is made easier by tecnology. Also now here is more responsibility laid upon them. It seems at the first glance hat tecnology is very usefull, and I agree ,it has its good sides ,however also it has its bad sides like everything.my opinion is that now it is hader ,being an adolescent, hoowever other might have different opinions.

The Camping Trip

In most cases, camping is fun. However there are several things which are not that great ,when you are camping. For instance sometimes the conditions of camping could be better (toilet, cold shower, etc.)Also with a very large group of people the noise level at bedtime, the cleanness and organization are still able to be improved. If you want to spot wild animals with operating with several people ,these factors(the noise level, the organisation, the cleanliness) could affect the chances of spotting somthing. On the other side with more people arounf you can do more and bigger activities and you have more oppertunities to have fun and share things. That almost evens the negative factors out , however in generall camping with many people could be improved if everybody was organised and listening to what to do.

Response Paragraph

Question:
Compare Katies mother to her father. Choose which one she is closer to and give reasons why

In my opinion Katie is closer to her father tan to her mother. Also she loves both if I were in her position I would like it if my parents were proud of me , went to play with me and be strong and good minded in his decisions ( all of Katies dads traits). Her mother however shows her love to Katie in different ways. She is strict about how they grow up and what they should do but also she is fragile and weak both in body and (my hypothesis) not as a strong thinker as her husband.  So in the times of change as Katie experiences I would like someone who is stronger in his decisions better than someone who is more fragile.
